About James Hancock

James is responsible for more high-rise residential towers in downtown Vancouver than any other single designer. Starting with his own firm, Hancock Bruckner Eng & Wright Architects, to a partnership with his architecture classmate Martin Bruckner, then their merger into IBI, Hancock has built a reputation as one of Canada's great masters of high-rise building. His public service includes terms as both member and chair of the City of Vancouver's Design Panel.
